Silver Wedding Bands

My future husband and I are using temperary rings for the ceremony until we save enough to get white gold later on. I’m wondering if lots of peopple get silver wedding bands, and can people tell it is sterling silver? It’s stupid I know, but I don’t want to be judged.

I asked a question a bit ago about what to engrave on my husband’s wedding band. He is a soldier, and he is being deployed to Iraq. We are getting married before he leaves. FYI, his wedding ring is just going to be a cheap sterling silver ring from Limoges Jewelry. We’ve talked to previously deployed soldiers, and they have suggested a temporary wedding ring in case it gets lost or damaged. So the timeliness of the engraving doesn’t matter so much, since it will just be used during his deployment. So how about:

"You have my heart. Bring it back to me safely."

What do you think? Good? Bad?

I’m going to Wisconsin in a few weekends, and my boyfriend is 21. I’m 20, and I read that in order to get served in a bar in Wisconsin underage, you have to be with a parent or spouse. I have a fairly large diamond promise ring, and now, I just need 2 silver cheap wedding bands that are fake. Do any of you know where I can get them?
To answer your question about what the ring proves, my license is going to have a different last name..and I was just going to say that I haven’t changed it yet. I really don’t know how this is going to work out. I really just want to go out with him when we are in Wisconsin, and it will literally be less than 3 months till my birthday. I thought the rings will be more legit haha..I don’t know.

But that ring is 159 dollars and my partner and I, are kinda on a tight budget. We really like the idea of the a rainbow color like that on a sterling silver band, but all the ones I’ve found online seem to be pretty high priced, and then I don’t know if I wanna go with that ring or the idea of having our names engraved on the outside of the band showing. When it’s a wedding ring it’s forever, so I wanna make sure it’s something we both really love and cherish. Could I get you wonderful people’s opinions on this? And if anyone knows of a site where they have similar rainbow rings like the link I provided, that might be a bit cheaper, I’d truly appreciate it. Thanks you all!

I have been trying to sell this ring for over a year on craigslist and all i have gotten is scammers trying to get me to send them the ring. I have been asking 00 for it. I have had the diamonds tested and they are real the engagement ring is 14k and the wedding band is silver. There are 38 diamonds all together in this set yet i can’t get a valid sale on it to save my life what am i doing wrong?

We purchased our Bridalset in oct 2005 and I wore the engagement ring for 6 mos. w/o any problems. Shortly after the wedding band was placed on my finger…I guess the combination of them both on, triggered some sort of reaction. I know for a fact that they are real 14 kt. rings. They were purchased at Kay’s Jewlers. I guess I never oticed in the past b/c I had always worn silver jewelry. Only b/c silver is so much more inexpensive than gold. I would never wear imitaton gold jewelry..just because. Can someone w/ same or similar problem let me know what to do?

I am looking for unique wedding bands…we would like the pattern of the front and rear tires of an atv on a silver band.. i dont even know where to look for these

The ring has inside CIKL or CIKT in a strange font with the last letter I cannot make our, then WAF then rj in a different font. It is heavy and i havent cleaned it completely but looks to be silver in color? Nothing on the outside looks like a wedding band?
Also the ring is a dark color with some green spots

about choosing something Herff-Jones calls "Extreme Silver" bec its so much cheaper. Anyone have any thoughts about how the two compare?

My boyfriend likes it for me also… our 2-year anniversary is in mid-June, and he wants to buy it for me then. However, we want to get married on that day, (pending a couple of matters that should hopefully be resolved by then). In which case, I would like for him to have a ring, too. He’s flexible to getting one that "matches" the one in the link above, because he likes that particular ring for me (and to be honest, so do I)… But finding/choosing one for him that "matches" is getting kinda hard, because I can’t actually "see" the women’s ring enough to match it with another.
Ok, the stainless steel wedding rings part comes in because I was trying to match it (again today) with a men’s ring, and I’m finding that when researching the women’s ring by name ["Our Forever Love"] usually brings up stainless steel rings! (?)
So I was wondering, since I absolutely love silver and not gold, and I have had stainless steel rings in the past and liked them… would it be ok to get stainless steel wedding bands. (I’ve had them before, but then again I’ve lost them during my single wild partying years… and so I don’t know much about their "durability".)
My questions are… Anyone out there in Y!Land ever go with stainless steel wedding bands??? And if so, do they last? Are they a suitable choice, or a decent alternative? And are they hard to keep clean?

Long story short, my husband and I (yes, we’re already married) are stationed overseas and have not had a REAL wedding yet. We are waiting for next spring when we both get back in the states so our families can be there. Anyways, I’m already wearing the engagement ring and we agreed that once his ring ships in (i’m getting something super meaningful to both of us engraved on it) then we will start wearing our wedding bands. Well I kind of want to play a joke and buy a cheap white gold or silver ring and get something funny engraved on it and then surprise him with the real one at the actual wedding.

So I really like something that says "put this thing back on!"

I really want to stick with something funny… any other ideas??

I met this guy online (24) and he says that he’s single and his last 2 year relationship ended because his girlfriend cheated on him. He seems very serious minded and mature, if it matters. He really doesn’t seem like a douchebag. I noticed that in one of his pictures, hes wearing a silver band on his left hand (wedding ring???) so I’m like WTF?

Should I ask him about it or should I just stop talking to him?

After about two and a half months of classes together, this one guy (whom I have never spoken to before) approaches me in the hallway during break. He came up to where I was standing at the vending machines and made some off-hand remarks, just small talk. He seemed like he was trying to get my attention, although I didn’t really catch what he said.
Then we went to the student lounge, to the coffee vendors. He pulled up a chair from the nearest table, sat down, and kept talking to me. I sat down also. We chatted about random stuff: work, family, classes being canceled, etc. He was being nice and all, but considering we hadn’t talked all this time, the conversation felt weird.
The other thing I’m not sure about–it looked like he had a silver wedding band on his left hand. I don’t feel comfortable asking him about it because I might have mistaken his friendliness for something else. Should I just forget about the whole thing?

Okay so I wear a sterling silver wedding band and have been wearing it for over a year. Well last night I noticed it started itching under my wedding band so I took it off and it was all pink and weird looking, almost like my finger was burnt under my ring. This has never happened to me before and the ring is real silver and hasn’t tarnished. I was thinking maybe the heat caused it or me gaining a little more weight, but why hasn’t this happened before?
But why would it just now develop. That’s why I’m wearing sterling silver, b/c I’m allergic to other metals.

We’ve been together a long time, and jewelry isn’t very important to either of us. Deciding to get married wasn’t any huge romantic gesture, so we’re now shopping for a bridal set. We are on a tight budget and I know this set won’t last forever- we’re planning on upgrading within a few years and I will be wearing a plain white gold band alone on many days. Opinions please (:

I’m very glad to here that it isn’t taboo to have non matching rings. although it would be nice for them to match i can’t change that i love yellow gold and look really tacky in silver colour. and he likes silver colour and looks really really tacky in gold.

I really prefer silver and white gold jewelry so I would like my engagement ring to be one of those but I like the traditional look of a gold wedding band so would those two go together decently?

I was in PCB, Fl and went swimming in the bay area, I have a .925 silver wedding band and it happened to turn a dark brown color and wouldn’t rub off very easy. This happened on the inner side of shell island. I have tried doing some research to see if that is a common thing and can’t seem to find anything. This was after swimming for about an hour.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW OR HAVE ANY OTHER CASES THEY KNOW ABOUT THAT COULD OF CAUSED THIS.

I went to a wedding this weekend, and the couple decided to save money by having simple sterling silver wedding bands for now, and getting "better" rings in the future (a year or two from now). Basically an upgrade. Am I just silly and sentimental in thinking I would want to get married with the rings I would have on for the rest of my life (barring any incidents like losing or damaging it of course). I know it’s just a symbol, but I guess I wouldn’t feel like the new ring was as important since it’s not the one we put on each others fingers during our vows.

Anyone done this? Do you feel the same about the new rings? Or does it even matter to you? Would you do this, or wait and save up for the rings you wanted?

the wedding band was silver I think white gold, I was not happy with this because we were still togther and what was funny about it it was my step daughtr who was doing this. like she was the one marrying him. I love my step dghter she lives with us and she is 24yrs with a child.
